Orange Business Services wanted to completely restructure its web presence, which involved a complete overhaul of the entire published content – both for the international and French-language sites. This called for detailed information on a wide range of services, such as cloud computing, unified communications and networks along with content on partners, professional services and regions, for example. To fit in with the new customer-oriented design, all content needed to be written from scratch.
We have worked with the Orange Business Services web team for a number of years and were contracted to produce the content templates for the site and deliver the copy over a period of nearly nine months. This involved doing a number of trial pages for the site which were tested and refined in the new design before moving onto the content production stage.
This content production stage lasted several months and encompassed questionnaire completion and interviews with over 20 Orange marketing and regional representatives. The project workflow involved over 600 files including multiple revisions from multiple sources. Once the final versions of the content were signed off by the internal content owners, we liaised with the internal editorial team to organise the content upload and final on-page sign-off.
As the main point of contact with the solutions, product and regional marketing teams we were responsible for capturing and communicating the Orange expertise on the website. This was a complex operation that encompassed hundreds of documents and interviews. We managed this complexity internally so that the web team at Orange could focus on completing the web design and content management system – which was being done concurrently. Futurity remains involved with the website and is still now helping produce new content and update older content to keep the site current and relevant.
